Poem one

The sun rises in the east, the moon too

As they ever did

The sparrows sing to dawn from the Magnolia tree

As they ever did

The morning dew glistening on grass tingles my bare feet

As it ever did

And the nightingale at dusk saddens my heart

As he ever did

Still I am a prisoner of my dreams

Fighting yet another obsession

Should one sink in sweet surrender

Or swim the waves to one more mirage?
